North Forsyth Combined Chorus/Musical Theatre will compete in Festival Disney!

Achieve performance excellence at our all Disney‐produced competitive music festival! Festival Disney gives your ensemble the chance to compete with other schools from across the country, while also having the opportunity to make once-in-a-lifetime memories at the Walt Disney World Resort. Specially selected, nationally recognized adjudicators provide detailed, positive feedback to all ensembles through written and recorded comments, as well as personalized feedback clinics following concert performances. Disney Imagination Campus – Performing Arts is extremely proud to be endorsed by the National Association for Music Education.

What does our trip package include?
  • Chartered bus transportation to/from school to Orlando

Payment Information

 

Payment schedule for monthly installments:

  • OPTION 1 - Deposit of $350.00 paid by June 15th, then payments from July thru January 2025 of $167.00 per month (final balance due on January payment)

  • OPTION 2 - Monthly payments of $151.50 beginning in April 2024 (final balance due on January payment)

  • You will have an option to enroll in automatic payments via the payment link at the time of booking or anytime during your monthly payments. 

  • Emails will be sent as a reminder to make your payment monthly. They will come from TravelJoy.

  • Credit Card statements will say SCHOOLTRIP

  • Please do NOT send payments to the school!!

Cancellation and Trip Insurance

 

  • All trip payments are non-refundable.

  • If you need to cancel, and have purchased the Student Travel protection plan, you will file a claim with the insurance company for reimbursement consideration. 

  • The reimbursement does not come from Family Memories Travel.

  • You may receive up to 100% of your trip cost, (not the cost of the protection plan) if you are cancelling for a covered reason. 

  • A detailed explanation of your policy will be emailed to you at the time of purchase.

Student Deluxe Plan with Cancel Anytime option:

 

  • Adding this option adds extra protection for cancellation if you need to cancel for a reason not covered by the Student Travel Protection plan. 

 

Examples may include:

  • Change of schedule, family plans, change of schools, behavior issues, mental health issues, academic activities, sports schedules, school discipline, drop out of band, etc.

 

*This benefit will only provide a maximum reimbursement of up to 75% of your trip costs for a non-covered reason.

Things to know about the hotel:

 

  • Students are 4 per room. You will sleep with a friend.

  • Chaperones are 2 adults per room.

  • All rooms have 2 queen sized beds and 1 bathroom.

  • Roms will be checked each night and taped in by chaperones for safety and accountability. 

  • Your group will take the Disney Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and Epcot, and use Disney Buses to get to Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom.

  • Staying on property gives the group access to early park hours, and quicker, more flexible transportation.

  • There is a large food court for dining, 3 pools, arcade, gift shop, and lots of other activities at the resort.

Dining Cards and Extra Money

 

  • Each trip participant will receive a Disney Dining Card pre-loaded with $18.00 per meal. 

  • Dining cards are accepted at Disney owned, quick service locations, snack carts, or on the mobile app.

  • Dining cards cannot be used at privately owned restaurants in Disney Springs or in gift shops. 

  • Dining cards cannot be used to purchase merchandise or alcoholic beverages.  

  • Other forms of payment accepted for buying food or merchandise: credit cards, cash, Apple Pay, or Disney gift cards. 

Memory Maker Park Photos

 

  • Each trip participant will be linked together and have access to Memory Maker photos.

  • To collect pictures, simply scan your Magic Band at the end of select rides or with a Disney Parks photographer.

  • Mrs. Hicks will send out an email link to private photo sharing site that contains all of the group’s Magic Band photos at the end of the trip. Participants can then download photos they would like to keep.

Chaperones & Groups

  • Directors, teachers, 1 Administrator, and multiple adults will be chaperoning the trip. 

  • We need parent volunteers willing to be additional chaperones. 

  • The price for chaperones is the same as the student price. If we lower the cost of the chaperones it raises the costs for the students.

  • Chaperones will be first come, first serve when the registration opens  

  • Chaperone slots will be based on the number of students traveling and space on the buses.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Only Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of a traveling student will be allowed to chaperone; no additional siblings or family members will be allowed to travel with us.

  • Students will be assigned a chaperone, and will be required to report in several times a day.  

  • Students will be expected to stay in small groups of no less than 4 for safety and accountability.  

  • Chaperones will perform room checks each night before bed, and each morning as the groups leave for the day. 

  • Chaperones will assist with medications and other student needs. 

In Case of Sickness

 

  • If a student gets sick or injured on the trip and is unable to participate in any aspect of the trip, they will return to the hotel with a teacher/administrator. 

  • If a sick student is found to be contagious or otherwise seriously ill or injured, appropriate medical attention will be sought and quarantining will be utilized. 

  • Directors will contact parents. 

  • If necessary, parents will be asked to travel to Orlando to pick up the sick or injured student. Trip insurance will protect you and your child if this happens.

Sample Trip Itinerary

Wednesday
  • 7:00 AM: Meet at School for Loading

  • 7:30 AM: Buses leave for Disney World

  • 10:00 AM: Stop at Buc’ees for snacks and lunch (self pay here)

  • 1:30 PM: Stop at GA/FL line for Restroom

  • 4:00 PM: Arrive at Pop Century Resort

  • Unload Buses and settle into rooms

  • Dinner at Resort, Visit Disney Springs, Swimming, Arcade, etc.

  • 11 PM: Lights Out!!

Thursday
  • 7:30 am - Breakfast

  • 8:00 am - Disney bus to Magic Kingdom 

  • 9:00 pm - Fireworks at park closing

  • 9:30 pm - Return to Pop Century Resort

  • 11 pm - Lights out!

Friday
  • 7:30 am - Breakfast 

  • 8:00 am - Festival performance 

  • 10:30 am - Visit Animal Kingdom or Park hop to Epcot for the evening - Disney buses run from one park to another.

  • 9:30 pm - Park Closes -Take Skyliner back to resort

  • 11 pm - Lights out!

Saturday
  • 7:30 am - Breakfast at the resort food court

  • 8:00 am - Depart on Skyliner for Hollywood Studios 

  • 7pm - Awards ceremony

  • 9:30 pm- Park Closes-Disney Skyliner to resort

  • 11:00 pm - Lights Out!

Sunday
  • 7:30 am - Breakfast

  • 8:30 am - Depart from Orlando

  • 12:00 pm - Boxed lunch at rest stop picnic area

  • 4:30 pm - Arrive at back school
