Ensembles

Cantamus ("We Sing Together") is the Advanced Women's Chorus for students in grades 9-12 at North Forsyth. Entry for this chorus is by audition only. Students selected to this ensemble are frequent participants in Honor and All State Choruses, as well as the Governor’s Honors Program and Solo & Ensemble events. Cantamus is dedicated to performing challenging literature for treble ensembles. Cantamus was selected to perform at the 2021 GMEA In Service Conference but do to the pandemic performed virtually. They appeared in person at the 2022 conference. Cantamus consistently receives Superior ratings & Outstanding in Class Awards at LGPE, regional and national festivals.

The NFHS Chamber Singers is the premier select mixed chorus for students in grades 9-12 at North Forsyth. Entry for this chorus is by audition only and highly competitive. Students selected to this ensemble are frequent participants in Honor and All State Choruses, as well as the Governor’s Honors Program and Solo & Ensemble events. The Chamber Singers are dedicated to performing the most challenging literature for mixed ensembles. The Chamber Singers consistently receive Superior ratings & Outstanding in Class Awards at LGPE, regional, national festivals and were selected to perform at the GMEA In Service Conference in January 2015.

The Raider Chorale is our entry level mixed choir, combined with the on level musical theatre class. No audition is required and is open to any student. This ensemble performs on all two concerts as well as two musical theatre performances, and students have the opportunity to audition for All State Chorus and participate in our annual spring trip.
